  1. Trickle up economics is what we need. And the best way to do this is simply cut the taxes for the middle class, who shoulder a large portion of the tax bills. Then to pay for the tax cuts, close down most of the 130 military bases all over the world, cut corporate subsidies, end the insane war on drugs, and means test for Social Security. It's either this or the U.S. dollar is going to tank in value in the future.

  3. Thom may be correct that job growth has gone up, but it isn't keeping pace with the population growth. That means not enough people are employed. Plus the real unemployment rate, when you count those who are "no longer looking for work" or underemployed working part time, the number is closer to 17%. The bailouts or the New New Deal stimulus didn't work either.
