I also believe in science, facts and sound economics. If you REALLY believe in science then you should also look into real economics.

Health care isn't "free" as Thom seems to think. It comes from us through taxes. Nothing is for free. There is no free lunch. Everything is taken from someone else. So progressives need to stop saying "free", because it's not.

On point 1, I understand that most nations have commons. It just doesn't make it right. I advocate for having less of the commons and more private ownership. On point 2, give me a more concrete argument. You should watch Stossel. I watch Thom because it only helps understand different viewpoints or arguments. I was a progressive for most of my life and only recently became libertarian due to Stossel and others. Stossel convinced me the drug war is actually worse than the drugs.

Yes, but it's not "free". It's an important semantic to remind us that health care comes from workers. 99% of people aren't involved in the details, quality of the program or the pricing. When government gets involved in health care, college, housing, it gets wildly expensive. I understand the commons. Here are videos on the Tragedy of The Commons to give you another point of view. watch?v=MLirNeu-A8I watch?v=3IdzaEiYx5o watch?v=vo_OB6iX_5o watch?v=qmAGuZgtxE8 watch?v=wRV88SBSU3w

Thom says we can't cut anything. How about the military, TSA, Homeland Security, ICE, end the war on drugs to save Federal money on prisons, courts and cops. There are so many things that are not Constitutional and areas to gut. We need to otherwise the government will just print the money as they've done in the past and the job (which you are paid in dollars) will be worth less and less.

I never brought up taxes. I'm talking about cutting spending, which neither the left or right wants to discuss. The Ryan plan goes from 3.8 trillion to 4.9 trillion deficits in 10 years, so this scammer is trying to convince the right that he's cutting government. What a joke! Here's a reality check from Nick Gillespie watch?v=2FZXrJH3ajY Yes, the neo-cons think lowering taxes is somehow shrinking government, but it just expands debt like in the Bush and Reagan years.
