  2. Hmm. I refer to Isaac Newton (or anybody else) with their names without the "Sir" honorific because I don't respect the idea of honors bestowed by the monarchy of the United Kingdom. But I haven't yet started done the same with honorifics like Alexander the Great as "Alexander of Macedon", or Mahatma Ghandi 🤔 I don't think I'll ever try to refer to Lord Kelvin as "William Thomson" 😞

  3. I think the world is at a very dangerous (but in my opinion, intellectually interesting!) tipping point around nuclear proliferation. Iran is likely to have a major political transition at some point in the next 20 years. The Iranian youth are very different to its conservative and aging leadership. I think if Iran is delayed for just a few years in getting the bomb, they will likely never get it. But if they do, they'll be quite a few new nuclear powers trying to counter-balance. Fun times!
