Not in my opinion.

I am puzzled, that's not what Owen Jones or his friendly interviewees seem to think!? Not in the interviews here and with Lisa Nandy, to pick on recently uploaded content.

Within the Keziah Dugdale interview she talks about not being able to lead without the support of the PLP and in that sense withdraws support while remaining an obvious friend and left wing friend within the party, to Owen Jones. Together, in these videos, I think he's seemed at pains to tread the ground not between left and right, but between different opinions over this thing which is happening in the Labour Party and wider movement that is bigger than Corbyn. It's like he's trying to give us a sense that it might not be the end of the road for the left in the Labour Party and wider interest, that people interested in left coalitions and all kinds of social democracy and social justice, who may or may not be pacifist remain in different camps and in the party whatever happens next. I think Owen is hedging his bets and softening the divide a little, even while he acknowledges the way it's been really easily characterized.

Sorry, that sounds unclear when I read it back but not sure if I can manage to fix it right now. x

We can survive with the right kind of community organising. Bring out the banda machines. Print a thousand billion 'zines. End up with arms like Hercules... But, whatever happened to hope, with this party especially? Accepting the hierarchically ordered nature of society is conservatism bedrock, not ours!

Yeah. Because all published indicators of popularity having no relation to actual results likely enough are completely irrelevant. Nevermind that voters, punters and bookies do try to do their research and odds are a kind of measure or index of something meaningful. In truth, I don't think it's completely irrelevant. It takes interpretation and critical thought to evaluate polling-based prediction, and this is no different.

YouTube - Owen Jones interviews Clive Lewis 28/8/16 Ah. Refreshing honesty, perhaps healing and necessary; but prophecy is never perfect, perfection is yet to come (see 1Corinthians 13). And it helps nobody, nor the JC halo, if he was made the sacrificial lamb by the leftwing of the party. He's already more powerful than they could possibly have imagined, yet still Jeremy. I fear I may be being made patsy saying all this here, some other conspiracy, but in a way I know I'm not. Did they really not understand how symbols work!? How they relate to interpersonal attitudes? The actual value of grace and actual equitable honest appreciation and no-man-left-behind? Versus "using" attitudes?

Patronising appropriation of somebody like Corbyn to use them was always a dangerous game for which everybody has just desserts. Except, so far, the people, and yet we're hopeful. Maybe it's like previous conservative wins against polling prediction, not something people want to admit but will vote for. Massively down rated yourself and most of the party, not because of service in the armed forces and I'm a pacifist. It's about bullying and ethical interpersonal attitudes. For the same reasons people dislike Gove, for the reasons people love, hate or have complex feelings about Boris Johnson especially when he's on HIGNFY. Edit... Not sure if that makes sense now. See other comments for a clearer idea of what I was trying to say if you're interested! x

But I appreciate honesty. Refreshing. And it's only an opinion. And there's still a lot I bet I like, as if I were the arbiter of worth.

It mightn't have been a bit tongue in cheek and a (warm, friendly) back handed compliment that went wrong?

What is the thing that unites us?

This isn't good talk, men or women.

Weight fluctuations and busy times might go together, as might hasty pulling of stuff out the wardrobe. You might have noticed. Hardly a good reflection on you, a relevant topic or really helpful health message either to say so. Next time, save your concerns. And why are Northerners extra policed and guffawed at about their weight!?

When he says he has his preferences over PR does he mean straight PR is his preference, or might he be thinking about STV systems?

It might be a strategic thing. Or a radical honesty.

Yes. :-)

But it sounds like it was always meant to be too late when they nominated him? Him, and Diane (And Ed - ed.) sacrificed to gradually shifting the party leftwards a bit. As if that dialogue or analysis of left/right means something as a kind of significant spectrum of difference, when it's actively a lot more complicated than that.

Why do we want to read a list about things that aren't true? ;-) And surely it can't be comprehensive? :-D I hate arrogance, and the manner of your presentation isn't really suggesting we should spare your feelings.

Only Carwyn Jones can tell them apart!

Hello from an East Midlander in Bradford!! (who thinks it really really wasn't very nice if that standout quote that made it to the video title was really how it was, yet I found I welcomed the honesty)

Only just noticed the MJJ Man in the Mirror quote at the end lol. Looked accidental. But possibly steered that way for the lols.
