CO2 is NOT a threat, if we are talking about such miserable concentrations like those existing in the fresh air (0.04% on average). CO2 is absolutely necessary for plants to produce molecular oxygen that we breathe, ie. O2 . Plants take water and CO2, and produce sugars and molecular oxygen using the sunlight; the process is called photosynthesis .

@heathross3130 Those are all minuscule numbers anyway. Can't make any fundamental difference in climate, etc. The Earth cools and heats from time to time, but that happens on a different timescale: thousands of years at least. Over the past summer in Victoria there was just one truly "warm" week; so much for "global warming". Anyway, if you are concerned, tell the Chinese about that. THEY are the major "carbon" culprits, not us.

@heathross3130 I am extremely doubtful about (1) all those numbers; (2) the actual reasons for CO2 concentration variations. Being a scientist myself, I would need to spend quite a bit of time checking all the statistics, measurement methods, etc. My personal observation tells me the opposite: climate is getting colder, at least here in Melbourne.

@heathross3130 There is no such thing as "global temperature"; it is a non-scientific term. The temperature has (1) day/night variations; (2) variations due to the height at which the measurements were taken; (3) regional variations; (4) seasonal variations, etc.etc. "Global temperature" is a fake term, like "average temperature" among sick people in one and the same hospital ward. Manipulations with such complex statistics as temperature measurements around the globe are pretty easy thing to do.

@heathross3130 "High confidence", "low confidence" - that's not serious. Like one year ago the CMO Brendan Murphy with high confidence predicted from 50000 to 150000 "covid" deaths, and 70% of the population infected. Climate modeling is even much worse than that: it is virtually impossible with any degree of confidence to predict anything for a reasonably long period of time. I don't want to dig any deeper into that, because it is a very special branch of mathematics called "the theory of non-linear differential equations".
