  8. Can anyone explain why earned income should be taxed at 40%+ but capital gains tax (which disproportionately affects only the very wealthiest people) should be taxed at half that rate? Also can you explain why kids who inherit fortunes that they didn't earn shouldn't have to pay any tax on it at all?
