  1. Liz Truss’ willingness to be flexible about her decisions leads me to worry over how decisive she’ll actually be once in office. It’s already blatantly obvious that another Maggie Thatcher she ain’t.

  3.  @RisewithMegan  🤷 if only things were so simple. Indeed the current inflation trying to get, nay succeeding in getting, a stranglehold on the uk is rather more multifarious. Covid plays a part, yes, but you also have various influences coming out of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine (increased food prices, fuel shortages/price hikes, supply of arms, refugees, and so forth), the uk being a net importer of energy there’s little to cushion global price fluctuations, with which in mind let’s not forget the initial impact of brexit had already struck before ever the pandemic reared its ugly head. Then there’s an aging population supported by a shrinking work force, burgeoning illegal immigration and let’s not forget that glorious ‘great reset’.

  4.  @VincentRE79  whoever comes first in the poll cannot be worse than the idiot just ousted or the bumbler who preceded him. I’m just not sure Liz has the strength of character necessary to bring us back from the brink. What’s worse is that there is not enough strength in the house to support her if she fails.

  5.  @MarkRE333  the only problem with the community charge was the media led revolt. The gutter press led the population around by the nose for months on this. As a replacement for the old rates it was way way better than the system we have in place now that they made not a mutter about.
