  1. It seems apparent that Prigozhin has something to prove to Putin in Bahkmut. What puzzles me is that the Wagner group's inability to take the city after 4 months would surely mean he has completely failed in this regard? The Wagner performance in Bakhmut has been abysmal and totally incompetent. They have performed worse than the Russia regular army and in any other military their performance would be looked upon very poorly indeed. Even now they are complaining about ammo shortages making further progress impossible, meaning they even squandered all their resources on their inept tactics and still achieved almost nothing. Yeah that's some great work there, Prigozhin, demonstrating to the world just how incompetent you are. So to me, the situation would suggest the Wagners are total failures, and certainly worthy of ridicule. As a private army, they completely suck. Even if they take the city tomorrow it has to rate as a massive fail. Who knew that thugs and prisoners would make such poor soldiers? (Hint: everyone). Footnote: I do not want to detract from the bravery and heroism from those defending the city, they totally rock, no question. But to move forward only 400m in 4 months, or whatever it was, is truly pathetic. If Prigozhin did have something to prove to his "master" then surely he has failed miserably?

  5.  @kartikeyatiwari2502  The answer is very simply that Ukraine is in fact not losing the type of body-count you suggest. Far from it. That is exactly why they chose not to retreat. The Russians are losing far more there, so it is sensible to hold Bakhmut for now and let them spend everything on futile attacks that can be countered easily even if they move forward. I mean do the math yourself - if Ukraine was losing the numbers you claim, then - AS YOU SAID YOURSELF - they would retreat to safer lines to stop the bleed. The fact they do not retreat should inform you that they are happy with the status quo, and that you are falling for russian propaganda.

  6. ​ @kartikeyatiwari2502  Yes, those of us ignoring russian propaganda DO know. And you are totally wrong about the reinforcements. Those are men that were already there, just being shuffled around as russia shuffles around its suicidal probing attacks. As I said, and it is true of any such situation in a war, if your losses are too high, you retreat back to a safer more defensible line. If you are happy with your losses compared to the enemy, you do not retreat. Ukraine has decide not to retreat (for 8 months). Says it all.
