You make a good case for workhouses. You don’t make a good apology for mass immigration or Islam or weak punishments or the welfare state.

@CroatianUltraNationalist no, the EU forced (almost) none of it upon the member states. They did it to themselves.

That only works with a small welfare state (which the US no longer has) and strong punishments. Europe has neither.

@forestmanzpedia it is not the job of the government to teach “refugees” German. It is the job of the “refugees”. The government failed not by helping too little but by “helping” too much (welfare) and using the stick too little (low punishments for crime, too much tolerance for “peaceful” religions).

@FraenkischeRep and we know that poverty isn’t actually the cause. Bad culture (including a certain religion), low IQ, high impulsivity, high sociopathy, etc. are actually causative. Dumb, impulsive sociopaths tend to be poorer (duh) but that is not the cause.
