  1. Mandatory Service is required in South Korea because they're still at war with North Korea; right now, they're at a temporary ceasefire. It sucks to have to do this, but it's so that men who end up having to fight are prepared should a full on war break out again.

Hope you'll actually go after the Chaebols next but media companies are probably in their pockets, so I doubt it. 2. That is amazing, well done with the increase in foreign aid. 3.
