I don't see America as a "less corrupt" country, it's just easier to see the corruption in other countries. Ending the war on drugs would see a lot of change, fixing immigration would help.

  14. Yeah those fences are cheap and effective. This one's expensive and ineffective. Also, the fence at my house wasn't put up for the sole reason I refuse to fix the door. Plus, you seem to be missing the point. It wasn't made to keep Mexicans out (they cross legally then overstay). It was made for another purpose, and both parties support it. If I want to slow somebody down I can think of way more cost-effective measures. The wall as the only idea just shows how slow Trump and his fans are.

You said we don't have gangs running around unchecked. That just isn't true. Secondly it implies Mexican cartels aren't a consequence of American drug customers and slack gun laws.   81.  @thomasdriver174  Visas expire, many choose to stay illegally rather than attempt to leave and come back, due to the inefficiencies of the system and the insanity at the border. The situation at the border and immigration needs to be fixed before any workplace changes can really stick, temporary labor is always going to be a thing (and Mexican labor is particularly skilled and not available at much of a discount). Also if the war on drugs doesn't end or change radically, there's not much point to overhauling the rest of the system. It would be nice to only have to deal with climate refugees. Not blaming one side or the other, they're both terrible at border and immigration policy. And drug policy. If you want more of something, just get America to schedule it "class 1" or whatever.
