Hmmmm..... you build a bunch of large, population centers in an arid place with a single water source, what could ever go wrong? It's almost like people building metropolitan areas near major geological faults and complaining about earthquakes.

@christinac9558 It's a shame when the thief is the one everyone is worried about because he might sue.

Teacher: "The administration doesn't care what I say." Administration: "WRONG!"

@billyb4039 So cops can't arrest him? That's the reason we have these incidents, people thinking cops can't arrest them.

@stevep8490 That too.

@hellogoodnite8447 If it doesn't have enough water? Yeah, I think that's just common sense.

@chadingram6390 Still, there's not enough water... right?

@hotdogstandman Okay, let's include people who establish farms where there's not enough water. How does that change anything? Arid places are apt to run low or out of water. How can you argue otherwise?

@hotdogstandman "The Colorado no longer even reaches the ocean anymore, as it dries up before then as of the past Decade." Dries up... or is used up? Do you foresee any reduction in the demands for water in the not-too-distant future? Are they still developing properties/farms requiring water from the Colorado?

@hotdogstandman If they go ahead with significant growth in Las Vegas, I think they are making a mistake. The current situation bears that out, I think. My point is, and was, that if you're going to develop/farm in an arid climate, you risk not having enough water. I appreciate the points you made and have enjoyed the discussion and even learned a thing or two, but I don't see how this changes the situation. I wish you the very best though.

@hotdogstandman Fine.

@swingscout Which is why ALL people, not just parents, need to know what is being taught and what is being said in America's public, tax-funded schools. I consider this awareness not only as a right of parents, but also as an obligation to ALL Americans. It's time people showed up in classrooms and schoolboard meetings to see for themselves what's going on. It's time for course outlines, materials, and assignments to be made public as a right of taxpayers to know what their tax dollars are buying.
