  1. Brian Williams might have well asked "Why is up down?" for all the sense that question made. The agenda is to obscure the facts and diminish the momentum of the current moment, which points to a less amped-up police presence. It's only a slogan anyway, "defund the police." It's the ideas behind the words that need more attention. And the fact of the matter is that those ideas WIN, not lose, elections.
