Humbly requesting George Carlin. A comedian and satirist who oftentimes hit the nail more than just on the head; and whose bits were infinitely more than just satire. The guy was a comedian, satirist, begrudged philosopher, and even the narrative voice of Thomas the Train.

@WhaleManMan someone’s cornflakes got a golden shower this morning! Carlin didn’t “kill comedy”, he was comedy for a long time.

@renaissanceredneck73 don’t know if I’ve heard that one before. Of course, if true, I can be just as petty. I could work my way through the years worth of Biographics content and post the same comment if I wanted tbh.

@renaissanceredneck73 I’m not above it lol. As far as script writing goes, there’s a certain...panache that one has to have; I’m not saying I’d try to pull a Kubrick or anything, but there’s an art to scripts...like good barbecue. I like fiction writing much more, though I’m no better there 😂😂😂😂

@renaissanceredneck73 I’m not as familiar with Pryor or Bruce, but I know them to be comedic legends, standing tall amongst the pantheon of comedians. I’d also like to point out that, while he wasn’t a comedian Larry Flynt did a great job fighting to free speech from censorship. Again, not a comedian, but a free speech warrior.

@renaissanceredneck73 I didn’t care so much for Larry’s politics at times, same for Carlin’s, but they were big free speech advocates which is what mattered to me. I’ll check out the album you mentioned when I get time. I’m always looking for a good laugh
