Two politicians destroyed Sri Lanka, JR Jeyawardana and Bandara Naike, to get votes they fuelled hate among Sinhalese, without unity the country collapsed, War was the main reason, they spent billions upon billions on the war, it's too much for a small country, trying to become Sinhala Buddhist country, they became a Somalia. They celebrated when some were grieving in pain, they couldn't feel their pain. What they need is Canadian system, like the English and French living together, instead of country only for Buddha and Sinhalese.

@kaveenedirisooriya1590 Problems started with the world tamil conference, LTTE never harmed one single sinhala civilian prior to black july, after throwing escaping children back into fire Sinhalese don't have any right to criticise the LTTE. When home guards die fighting with the LTTE, they propaganda as innocent civilians killed by the LTTE, background was that they were petty criminals, who were pardoned and settled in places like manal aru/ weli oya along with their families, they not only attack the LTTE, but Tamils as well, many innocent Tamils were killed by them, women were harrassed, they were the innocent Sinhalese killed by the LTTE in cold blood, your Govern won't tell you that. Black july, Sathrukondan, navaly church just some if you want to know what cold blood is.

@kaveenedirisooriya1590 The country spent too much on the war, many installments to make, China showing it's true face, corrupt leaders, this is the problems in Sri Lanka, easter bombing and covid devastated the tourism industry, another reason.

@kaveenedirisooriya1590 Politicians and extremists wanted to attack the Tamils, destroy their wealth, the opportunity came when the LTTE attacked the army, if they were responsible leaders they should have gone after the LTTE, but they went after innocent people. LTTE took revenge for the black july, but they did not go after innocent people but mullaitivu base in 1996 and Katunayaka 2001 same late july.

@kaveenedirisooriya1590 Maybe LTTE killed some civilians but who started? Sinhalese paved the way with the black july, not one sinhalese was harmed before black july. I don't think every attack blamed on them were done by them, there is no proof, even the murder of Athulath was blamed on the LTTE, what happened after? They even staged something, forcefully gave cyanide to a tamil youth in their custody, dropped his body near the incident. They could have done many like that and blamed on the LTTE. They were desperate for propaganda.

@kaveenedirisooriya1590 Prabaharan tried his best not to harm Sinhala civilians, they killed over 40 000 army, how may Sinhalese died over 30 yrs? 4000? 5000? If they were after civilians the casualties would have been 10/20 times more, not ten times less. Beside most of their suicide attacks were on military targets, some on economic targerts, I don't think one single attack was aimed at civilians. They used their cadres who volunteered for the attacks, did not use children.
