@mycolombo6791 What happened during black july? Army and the monks encouraged the thugs, effects of black july still in effect, at least for next 500 yrs. People are suffering today mainly bcs of black july, which escalated the war to another 25 yrs.

Crowding so many people into so little space, 400 000 people, very little food, very little medicine, declaring no fire zone and shelling into it, only those who were there know what they went through, just pure hell. They just celebrated, did not even grieve for the 100 000 dead, we know what some soldiers did, we saw the duty of police seniors in Bindunuweva, feel sorry for innocent Sinhalese, but one drop of poison makes whole cup of milk poisonous. Everyone suffers for the mistakes of a few.

@mycolombo6791 The LTTE killed the army not Sinhalese, Sinhalese hardly lived in Jaffna. The current economic problem is partly due to the war.

@mannyk2755 Without India's help the country would be in worse situation than now, no other country is helping. India gave one billion, giving 40 000 tons of fuel, who else can give? Russia? China?

@accountname5586 That's after the war ended, during the war many died without treatment, very little medicine was available, amputations were done without basic anesthetic.
