Ukraine appears to have a corrupt, basket case economy. It ought to be a prosperous country as a major supplier of food to the rest of Europe as it was before WW1 but the EU's CAP has knocked that firmly on the head. Ukraine in its present boundaries is Stalin's creation and probably need to be re-drawn. The peaceful solution is to call in Swiss constitutional advisers. The EU's trade and economic policies are an important part of the problem as they have prevented the normalisation of trade with the former Soviet bloc countries. As Bastiat said...
