I might be wrong but I doubt if the Russians will push beyond the Russian areas of Ukraine. What would be the point of moving into territory where they were not wanted by the people who live there? The borders are a relic of Stalin and were never rationalised when the USSR broke up. Western Ukraine was clipped off from Hungary, Slovakia and Poland.
