  2. Yes. It's been historically proven that mercenary armies don't work. It's US military operations policy to not use mercenaries in any way.

  3. Philip False equivalency. Native born soldiers are from the country they're defending. Foreign born soldiers aren't. You also can't control the type or amount of training for mercenaries as you can for native born (or naturalized) citizen. Native soldiers individually sign a contract. Mercenaries have their contract signed by someone else. Allies aren't mercenaries. Each ally has their own military personnel and their own orders to follow.
