  3. There would have been many Republicans who would have never made it to office. I would like to see not a total removal of the Electoral College. My idea is if the popular vote is too close then the Electoral College is used.

  5. I kind of makes sense. Except for something really bad (like trying to overthrow the government) I can see someone running for President. If you weren't allowed to run because of an incarceration it's be way too easy to trump up fake charges on someone you don't like to prevent them from being any competition. This sort of thing happened during Nixon. They made it so people charged with crimes couldn't vote while in prison, then made up the fake "drug schedule" thing to throw hippies in jail. But even then a hippy could have run for President.
