  1. It is both wrong and troubling that the US is in the crosshairs of most of the developing world's sights as being the country that is responsible for escalating the war in Ukraine. The US, NATO and allied countries---some 50 countries in all---are simply beefing up the security so that the Ukrainians willl be able to hold their own in any fire-fight and to not only be in the same boxing ring as a superpower, but in the same weight-class too. The Ukrainians are the greatest fighting army and military in the world today largely thanks to training and more training from the west. The war would have been a bloodbath and lost early in the war if the howitzers, Himars and stingers and loads of ammo and tanks and matériel were not provided to the Ukrainians whom it must be remembered willingly gave up their strategic nuclear arsenal with promises from the west for support if they should ever be attacked or invaded. What we in the west have to be aware of is that in the autocratic regimes around the world, people somehow adapt and melt into the woodwork so-to-speak and can live without any problem in believing the party line and giving up their personal beliefs and freedoms for promises from strongmen that do not obey a rules-based international wrold order and whom only fear superior strength from any potential foe or adversary...
