  1. The most important thing you say in this vocast Ian is of course 'war fatigue'. I live 2,000 kilometers from Kiev and so I'm naturally glued to the unfolding events, but this cannot be the case for someone living in Kansas or Calgary or Lima, Peru and the like. What I see is the only result that can make sense out of the invasion is for the Ukrainians to win back the Donbas. What I think is going to happen as the Ukrainian military muscle gets beefed up is that they will begin to have the upper hand by being able to shell the Russians at distances that the Russians cannot retaliate against. But a lot of things are going to have to be played out until then and this is where it gets dicey. The land corridor the Russians are building is a trap for the Ukrainians and must be taken back. What we have to do is somehow keep a shining light on this conflict and never let it get dampened or God forbid, extinguished---We can alreday see China is sending fighters into Taiwanese airspace to do exactly that: to get the world's eye off the ball in the Ukraine so that Russia can play the time game and wait till the news cycle goes to rinse i.e. until the world has forgotten the war that Ukraine has fought so bravely.
