We in the west and especially you in America have so many excellent analysts of the war in Ukraine and all matters political and military, but former Ambassador John Bolton shines above them all for one very good reason: he doesn't pull his punches and he calls it like it is whether his political party is on board or not. John is what a citizen of a country should be: first and foremost, someone who defends his country and lastly as someone who is a mouthpiece for a political party. Country first is John Bolton's message. What we are fortunate in having is his weigh-in on the rumblings in Russia and it is good advice: do not think anything is going to happen until it does. My take on what I think the Wagner Chief's intended or unintentional pseudo-coup noise was all about is that Prigozhin has shown the Russian people that it is possible to overthrow the regime with little if any resistance. Hitherto, Russians have been sleepwalking through their existence for 20 years under Putin, and it is possible some Rip Van Winkles may be waking up thanks to the former catering chef and ex-con.
