  1. With all due respect to Admiral (ret.) Mike Mullen, I believe we have to stop saying this war is going to be a long slog, a long haul, years before it's over etc. Why do I say that? Because this is the most important battle in modern European history and we must keep it on the front page of our consciousness for as long as it goes on. There is battle-fatigue and there is war-fatigue and we must not let western audiences start feeling like they've seen enough of what's going on in the Ukraine. How can we keep things fresh? We can start by fighting this war in 24-hour segments. Let's concentrate on what's happening today and what things may be like tomorrow. That's all you need to do. Sure, you can say this or that might be coming down the pike, but let's keep things in the present. Admiral Mullen, you are a military strategist of the highest degree; let's start thinking of ways to get objectives met in record time. Why not multiple-head offensives? Go for the juglar so-to-speak and then pull back and come in harder the next day. We have got to keep this war in the papers on page one and fresh every day so that we never lose sight of victory for the Ukraine.
