In all due respect, as an overseas viewer, I was struck by one thing: why were young, inexperienced troops barely out of boot camp in charge of the evacuation in Kabul? Why were green troops left to administer an obviously dangerous operation? Where were experienced soldiers who could spot a suicide bomber in heavy fog not on duty that day? Lastly, I think it was a very good decision by President Biden to completely pull out of Afghanistan. Why do I say this? Because the whole world can now judge for itself what the Taliban are all about. Before, we only had scant news; they were terrorists etc. Now the whole world is able to see what the Taliban represent. What now has to happen is to not show your cards. Don't tell the world what you're going to do.
