We all have to accept the fact that General Powell told the world that he had proof Sadam Husein was planning to use weopons of mass destruction and immediately showed a flask with some kind of chemicals in it between is thumb and forfinger to to back up... his fib. It turned out to be a spin job and I know he has never forgiven 'W' for setting him up as a sucker. He was an immediately likable, knoweledgable person with a generous grin and a pride in his race as well as a tried and true patriot, but he shall be remembered for false claims that ushered in one of America's most insidious campaigns of warmongering that has left thousands of American veterans scarred to death and a country still coming to terms with what the American incursion really left them with as a country. It's not to denigrate General Powell, it's to tell us all that our actions count, and as Maximus said before a battle against the barbarians in Ridley Scott's epic masterpiece 'Gladiator', "What we do in this life echoes in eternity." R.i.p. General Powell, you have been a teacher to all of us.
