As an overseas viewer I have of course a different perspective than you Dana and former Republican House Speaker John Boehner, but will you please hear me out on how I beleive is the only way to get the mass shootings down to a manageable level? I'll speak direct and candid in saying all certified and qualified and mentally stable American adults have to carry a firearm. If the next meeting of all the state governors showed all of them holstered up, you wouldn't have to make it a law. If President Biden and Vice-President Harris were holstered up at their next press conference, it would send out a message and that message is that you all have to look out for each other. Forget what everyone wearing a gun looks like. If we have to wear a mask to reduce getting infected with Covid-19, isn't it the same to ask everyone to wear a sidearm to stop the mass shooting epidemic that is threatening to drag your wonderful country down and leave so many innocent people dead, wounded or disfigured for life? What is horrific is to hear how some people's lives have been ruined by taking a bullet. Please Mr Boehner, you have nothing to lose politically to make this happen and save your country from becoming a war zone where all of you are being held hostage by mentally unstable individuals who only fire on soft targets.
