Someone has to be asking the question of why such young troops were put in charge of an evacuation operation that their superiors knew was locked and loaded from day 1? It's inconcievable that not one seasoned veteran was among the fallen. Where were the hardened lifers who could smell danger from a mile away? Everyone knows where they were, far away out in the back and out of harm's way. This is where seniority gets you the safe pass every time, but it's tragic they were all just starting their lives, and probably first time on an assignment.
