  2. isabelle Letourneau Jain Shasan expressively forbids harming any living creatures. So, if you eat meat, or swat a mosquito, you are breaking a vow in that religion. Does that mean you will follow that doctrine now? Or do you shrug and go "Well, I'm not a Jainist, so why should I have to follow their doctrines?". I'm betting it's the latter.

I mean, this whole situation stinks, and you're right that there will be generalisations and bigotry. But, it would be very wrong to claim that this period in history is worse when it is, in fact, the furthest we've come.

  5. Abdul CJ It doesn't matter who says it, you dolt. What matters is the facts. If you can show that the world was better off back in the day, by all means show me. So far you've shown me nothing of substance. Psychologica warfare, rigged media, fear mongering... All these things have existed for time immemorial. Nuclear weapons is new. But, I can think of a fair few medieval methods of dying that are just as bad.
