Johnson was part of the party that gladly undermined the NHS for 10 years by defunding it (and they had a lean budget to begin with). he is the epitomy of selfish Tory, and foolish (and lazy) on top of it. it is the exact response you would expect from him, downplaying the risk of a pandemic, for fear of harming the stock exchange and the economy. Now EVERY government will hesistate to shut down the service sector, so most were late - but at some point the meaning sunk in and they jumped into action. Even right wing governments did so. Not bragging Johnson and he has to answer for unnecessary deaths in the U.K. because of it. If he gets the Darwin award - I'll not be sad.

@mollie3244 The good thing is that children very rarely need intensive care, they usually recover well and quickly from it. at home. Or may be w/o symptoms even. That may make them spreaders of the virus. You should be more afraid on behalf of your 50 plus aged relatives and friends.
