  1. Most of Congress is happy doing absolutely nothing. They are away from their jobs much more than they're there. And even when they're supposed to be there voting on stuff they don't show up. How is that running a country? Or running anything else for that matter and then they vote themselves pay raises all the time. How about we cut their paychecks they actually earn what they make and oh my goodness they do their stinking jobs? That sounds like a really good idea to me also a rather novel one apparently

  2. Because the government writes checks for a whole lot of people those on social security retirement does on social security disability and the military. And I think we can all agree that we need the military just like we need the police departments. I think we could afford to cut their paychecks a bit and not let them vote themselves pay raises anymore.

  3. That is my concern too. I'm on disability we have I don't know how many people in the military that depend on their paychecks and their families depend on them. What happens to all of us?

  4. You make it sound pretty easy. But my question is what happens to the government workers like the military and what happens to social security when you shut down the government. I think all of you need about 3/4 of a pay cut and I need 3/4 of your whole paycheck needs to go back to the country where it came from and put to use where it will do some good. None of the rest of the world can vote themselves a raise. Why do you get to? I also think you need to look at camping instead of going with putting everyone on Medicare like the Democrats want to do you need to start capping what the drug manufacturers can charge. I'm on one medication that I take every 12 weeks. It costs over 22,000 for each injection. That's insane.
