10 German tanks burned in Syria The network has published new photos of German tanks Leopard 2, which served in the Turkish army and were destroyed during the fighting near the Syrian city of Al-Bab. The list of Turkish losses also included the M60T (Israeli modification of an old German tank) and four armored vehicles of various modifications. After analyzing the nature of the damage received by armored vehicles, the experts came to the conclusion that a pair of Leopards were blown up by mines, two more were hit by cannons. The bulk of losses with the most severe damage (fire in a tank, detonation of ammunition) are associated with the hit of guided anti-tank missiles. Thus, the myth of the "invulnerability" of German tanks can be considered refuted. And this despite the fact that the opponents of the Turkish army have far from the most modern and powerful ATGM models - mainly the export version of the Soviet Kornet complex, borrowed from the arsenals plundered in Iraq and Syria.
