Just the beginning of the name of the Station is different with the High speed railway station, what you have seen is an old disused station and all the new high speed railway station is busy with Chinese locals and tourists. Suggest go and see for yourself.Talking about Bridge s. Even the Bridge hit direct on the beam hard only a small section got broken and not like the Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapsed like a Belly Dancer dancing in Slow Motion so Gracefully that is such an eye Opener. Oh, forgot to mention that the recent collapsed Rail bridge connecting South Dakota and Iowa was blasted in a control Demolition. That is a resounding yes in regard to the Quality of US Engineering 😂👍

Oh Yes, US is so Great in Engineering but from what I see the Bridges in US is nothing in Comparison now unfortunately so get used to it. There are Bridges older than history of US still standing. So, how many bridges that you have seen keep failing, name it. Don't think today Japan can compete in Infrastructure building now. I don't know what year you have been to China so I can only say you are living in a cocoon. Your Infrastructure is a shambles in Comparison. Been to US so many times but each time the country looks more like in Third World Countries.
