  2. everything would. people seem to think the black market is a department store in the mall, but it doesn't actually work like that. additionally, the price of guns would be skyrocketing in the black market right now, so that stops poor people from getting a gun. and since guns aren't legal, you'd have to hide the gun from everybody you know or risky getting in a lot of trouble.

  3.  @lrs2319  knives can never have the same efficiency as guns. that's just against all the statics, physics and even in theory. the entire point of guns is that they are far superior to bladed weapons. if tarrant used knives instead of his rifles and shotgun, he would have been very lucky to kill 1 person. but with the power of firearms, he scored 50 times that.

  5.  @iWillProbablyDieOnTwoWheels  what's the exact quote and context? the manifesto was mostly ironic so im not sure what you'd expect us to do with it, you could claim terrorism works no matter what we do because he covered most ground. maybe you should just ignore his gaslighting altogether on focus on solutions to terrorism rather than trying to justify the evil of this man.

  10. why have traffic laws at all? just ban killing, im sure nobody will ever speed or drive recklessly again. in fact, get rid of every law except the killing one. obviously everything will work perfectly if left like that.

  12.  @iWillProbablyDieOnTwoWheels  no i dont really want you to quote it, rather go over and try to understand what his true motivation was. which might be tricky with all the trolling. far as i can tell, his goal was one of ethno nationalism. not really gun rights. if anything his attack has only strengthened multiculturalism in the south pacific. im hearing all the time these days how jacinda is a great leader, especially from my brown friends and associates here in australia. i suppose it worked in so far that a broken bone or scab becomes stronger after injury. and there's there's nothing wrong that. but i dont think this is what he really wanted.

  13.  @cacophonyeffects2823  in chicago maybe, not so much islands in the pacific. the last time i checked, a black market glock hand gun was around 4-6k here in australia. you could probably get a service rifle if you're very well connected to organized crime here, but that's only only a tiny part of the population. it's very unlikely tarrant would have gotten his hands on these kind of high spec weapons in australia.
