  1. Probably because this is a relatively small scare war over a few particular regions. Where as in Syria you've got multiple factions trying to take over the whole country, and don't care how many children they bomb and behead to have to do it.

  2. Sam Maxwell Well clearly you don't.  We're not at war with all muslims and that's obviously that's never going to happen. What you're describing wouldn't be defined as a world war by any of the typical definitions.
