@terjeoseberg990 It worked according the in advance prepared 26 Febr. 2022 article in russian state media RIA Novosty. It claimed russian victory in the war against Ukraine, this only 2 days after the invasion had begun. The article was soon withdrawn (but not soon enough to prevent copies from being saved by others). However it does prove that the russians really did expect to win the war (now well past day 1,000) in just very few days.

@TheGrindcorps pootin khuilo on the 21 Febr 2022 (probably the initially planned date for the start of the invasion) said Kyiv in 3 days in his speech to the Duma, and Simonian in RT TV on the same day said the same, except optimistically reduced to 2 days. On 26 Febr, so after two days (which is on the third day), russian state media RIA Novosti published an article claiming russian victory over Ukraine in the war. The russians are now over 1,000 days late for that claim.
