  1. In my country (a founding NATO member) the name of the United States of America - in our local language - is, by inserting a couple of extra letters, the "Lunatic States of America". The vast majority of North Europeans are aghast at the nonsense going on in 'Murica. This is not a reflection on US American population in general, almost every single US American we Europeans meet is a genuinely nice and sensible person - but they are non-lunatic US majority that are informed, travel abroad and have broad horizons but apparently have not bothered to vote for decades! The Lunatics that have taken over the US Asylum (the Repugnicans) have, even if they are a minority, managed to assume the political power required to be reaching the final stages of demolishing the American Experiment. This will not end well...
