  1. I suppose one reason it faltered is because journalists spin the narrative? Like the famous "three days war" that was never expressed by Russia and was only talked about in the West. Same goes for last year's 8th of May where everyone in the media expected something major. And who could forget the anticipation for a full mobilisation announcement that Ukrainian intelligence assured us would happen at New Year. Not to mention in Putin's address to the Federal Assembly a couple of days before. Or today even, because our media just wants these dramatic developments, a major offensive by Russia, something symbolic. Meanwhile Russia just prosecutes the war, irregardless of whatever deadlines or expectations our Western media sets. (And then, when they fail to meet these expectations we are being told Russia is losing the war)
