There are ridiculous russian claims & theories. Then there are really stupid russian claims & theories. The 'nuke Yellowstone' proposal is a new level put forward by someone that doesn't understand the forces involved to start a super eruption & how puny a nuclear blast is. It's like a 2nd grader saying they would send a spaceship to 'rope' the nearest asteroid to rain down on an enemy. If this is some newsperson with a wacko theory that is one thing. If this is a scientist or even pseudo scientist, this is pathetic. Skabeyeva , is a little like Jerry Springer. Any old crap to fill air time. I have heard that 'Carol of the Bells was composed in Ukraine originally. So maybe a little extra meaning?

@nitesy381 If the 'next one' is a minor eruption it would still be bad but not like it being a 'big blow'. One of those & going to the southern hemisphere wouldn't help much. It varies widely over Yellowstone's long history.
