  12.  @jackvalentine7403  ok, so my language was terse. I'll apologise for that. I'm just a little tired of people making pretty empty claims against Peterson. It's become a painful thing to witness. Perhaps it was inevitable. My point about the bona fides of "people you know" stands though. It's not exactly doxxing to detail basic identifiable information regarding those that would be Peterson's equal, because they'd be reputable and known publicly within their respective fields already, right? Peterson's career, from what I'm aware, is quite esteemed? Isn't he one of the most cited psychological professors? I do agree that he would not have made it into the mainstream consciousness without his strenuous objection to compelled speech. But so what? I'm not really all too sure of the point there? How many psychology professors are in the public sphere in the same way? Wouldn't be many, but I'm not going to count myself as an exemplar of the "common man" in terms of mainstream psychology professors. I think it's fine to say that Peterson may be overrated, but I think to do so does compel an explanation beyond appeal to authority.

Jordan Peterson is a force for good in the world (IMO), and so it really boggles my mind when people seek to (mostly baselessly) tear him down. I can't comprehend the motive. Even if he is not the greatest, doesn't make him unimportant, nor worthy of much of the disdain.
