I love it when douchebags throw out useless ad hominem against people like Jordan Peterson. As if their intellect remotely compares to someone that has spent their life working in psychology and philosophy. Muppets.

@jackvalentine7403 I think you're full of shit. Give me a list of 'these people you know', and I'll compare their careers to JBP's. Your ironic blathering about Peterson's ability to simplify the complex as if it isn't in and of itself incredible boggles my mind. I never stated that he was without flaws, you dolt. Nice strawman. You're just another douche that thinks it's edgy to call out Peterson by appealing to the authority of others. Yawn.

@jackvalentine7403 ok, so my language was terse. I'll apologise for that. I'm just a little tired of people making pretty empty claims against Peterson. It's become a painful thing to witness. Perhaps it was inevitable. My point about the bona fides of "people you know" stands though. It's not exactly doxxing to detail basic identifiable information regarding those that would be Peterson's equal, because they'd be reputable and known publicly within their respective fields already, right? Peterson's career, from what I'm aware, is quite esteemed? Isn't he one of the most cited psychological professors? I do agree that he would not have made it into the mainstream consciousness without his strenuous objection to compelled speech. But so what? I'm not really all too sure of the point there? How many psychology professors are in the public sphere in the same way? Wouldn't be many, but I'm not going to count myself as an exemplar of the "common man" in terms of mainstream psychology professors. I think it's fine to say that Peterson may be overrated, but I think to do so does compel an explanation beyond appeal to authority.

@jackvalentine7403 I've just grown tired of the things I've stated. I don't disagree with your last post, because I never did. Those are not the points I was contending. Jordan Peterson is a force for good in the world (IMO), and so it really boggles my mind when people seek to (mostly baselessly) tear him down. I can't comprehend the motive. Even if he is not the greatest, doesn't make him unimportant, nor worthy of much of the disdain.

@jackvalentine7403 So really, it seems that your issue with Peterson is more to do with his cult following than the man himself. I can appreciate that. But I can also appreciate why he does get parroted.

Ooooh the bitter envy. Who took the jam out of your doughnut?
