Your design and drachs explanation of it, really set my day up, I chortled merrily. Hats off to you sir. Your welcome to design me a teapot anyday.

@59:56 America, run out of gun? They are more likely to run out of cheese. In my head, they simply made a gun that fires torpedo's instead of shells. This is far more likely than any senario where the USN has run out of guns.

Random guy. Glad I'm not the only one who was utterly confounded there.

Would the Von Der Tann not make the Invincibles immobility enevitable. As Invincible underwater shooting is inconcivable if not impossible then this scenario is impossible.

A lot of the comments seem to find them very entertaining (I enjoyed them). As a side note. A lot of people listen to drachs stuff. As in, they don't watch them. If you have a browse through the comments over the last few months I'd have loved to see images of these crazy ships though. I agree that would have been brilliant

@TheCool31 the only stupid question is one you didn't ask. This is an educational channel. Ask :) as a side note. I knew next to nothing about warships until discovering this channel. My interest was always air and land and military/political history. God bless the internet

Us "brits"* would love your roads lol. 300 miles here can and does take a very long day to drive. Apart from the main motorways, our road system isn't 'planned' in the way that it is in the colony's. It's developed since the MK1 horse and cart was the latest thing in personal transportation. I used to have a drive to work through various villages and small towns that took an hour or more and was less than 17 miles. That was with no traffic as well. *Very few people who live in the British isles calls themselves a "Brit". Anymore than someone from the United States calls themselves a North American. We are English, Welsh, Scottish or Irish. I know it's very confusing given we have a British team at the Olympics etc but, as the kids say, that's different. The idea of identifying yourself as British isnt something many people do... Also. On government forms, it asks which country your from eg. England. The laws in each country are different and we now even have devolved parliament. So the gap is widening in many ways. I know nobody cares. But as this is an educational channel. I thought why not.

@dougjb7848 all of which is the best of our roads. Don't get me wrong. We have some amazing drives. But our country roads have followed the same topography for thousands of years. That can make for some amazing driving roads. But it also means sometimes your trying to get from two points that would be a ten minute walk across level ground in a straight line and it takes 30 mins to drive it because it's a single lane that is covered by hedgerows with passing points if your lucky 🤣. Sure that's not the main roads we use most of the time. And thankfully we don't have suburbs. But we also don't have a long highway we can use to travel 300 miles easily. Heck. Ask me to drive 300 miles I. Any direction and I'll cross multiple international borders and some sort of ocean 🤣

@Odin029 he can't have had a strong Scottish accent lol. And by the sounds of it he told you he was Scottish. That's generally enough. I do understand tho. It's probably like that when we confuse Americans and Canadians. Travelling from Edinburgh to London is a bit different. For a kick off. Two different countries (yeh you don't need a passport, but then neither did you need one to travel the EU until we left (sigh))... Also it's going to take you a day to do and you'll be utterly exhausted when you get there. Which is why most people would get the train or fly.

The world changes but people stay the same. Or so the proverb goes. You make a very good point. But when any nations back is against the wall. What would moral outrage really stand for? And as you mention. A nation like n Korea isn't going to care much about the baby polor bears are they? Mind you, they'd have to invent a submarine that does more than shoot statues of the glorious leader out it's tubes and play the national anthem out its sonar system. But you get the jist of my point I'm sure.

@Sar Jim ... Would the increased displacement of the merchant hulls, not be offset by the more modern torpedo technology? As in much more explosive, and the torpedo detonating under the keel to 'brake the back of the ship'. Genuine question as I don't know...
