There's a good video about it on the great war channel. The brief version is.... Allies turn up. Discover the steights actually not very well defended. They shell the poorly manned and setup defences. Allies go away Turks fix all the flaws they have been shown in their defences Allies come back and land troops Allies loose.

Were the 2 hours not enough? Lol. They had to leave some stuff out. Or they would have been talking for 2 years and only covered the known history upto the beginning of the Roman Republic 😂

This last week I started commenting on videos by 'WW2'. I've been asking for a collaboration with you Drach'. Indy and the team replied to my comments which I'm sure annoyed them a bit. Worth it if it means a video from my favourite history channels. Would you do a video with them? Please Pretty please... I take no pleasure in copy and pasting this onto the videos of yours that I'm re-watching. I take great pleasure in re-watching your videos! Thank you for the knowledge. Add on for this. I live in Billingham. Just a few miles from Hartlepool and Scarborough/Whitby. It's sad how few people here know of the history of the earlier in ww1 (nobody seems to know about short bombardment). And there was even more of a war effort locally in ww2. From the trawlers used for anti sub work (built on the tees as you know) to the huge petro-,chemical industry. Out of curiosity. Have you ever been to the museum at Hartlepool?

Going by other videos. It's more about a vague relation to the topic. They aren't talking about the thing on screen. But the thing on screen will be from around the time they are discussing. So a caption isn't needed.... I hope that makes sense

@rudolfpeterudo3100 more subs than that. I know a good few made it through and raised hell in the black sea. More were lost in the attempt. Not sure where you got the only one being an Australian sub from? Do you have a source. I could be wrong but I'm sure multiple submarines made it through.

Used in ww1 fairly extensively I believe and was a part of the Dowding system. I'd love to hear* more about this technology. I would imagine it would struggle when there were as many ships fireing on D-day for example *Pun intended
