Comments by "Adam Bainbridge" (@AdamMGTF) on "The Drydock - Episode 090" video.
Ironically, these videos are posted in the middle of the day for us fine Englishmen* So there wouldn't be any cordite in the turrets, it would have been sent flying towards the hun. Or sent to the bottom of the sea. Funny post though. *Scotsmen, Welshmen, Irish, people's of the Isles of Man, the Scottish Isles and the Channel isles of course.

@PaulfromChicago touché sir However its always worth remembering that being British or from the UK is a distinction based on cartography and convenience. Heck, you ask a geordie what he thinks of a cockney or a Devon man what he thinks of a Yorkshireman and you'll hear some strong words. Probably along the lines of the union and the confederats in the USA. And they are all in England. The Scots, Welsh, Irish and islanders are almost as foreign to each other as they are to Canadians or Australians. Something that the rest of the world doesn't really understand about us. We are one. But we are very much our own countries. Now we must thank the Queen that the new carriers were not based in the forth of firth. If they were, beattys ghost would have had a pilot light installed in the jet fuel tanks 😳

But the video was launched just in time for Sunday dinner. Ugg had evolved into a gentleman with his own empire and was drinking tea and festing on Yorkshire puds. Ah evolution.

More likely he'd fight for support from the air force and try and get the luftwaffe involved in taking Malta. Do that and you don't need carriers. Remember, the aircraft carrier was king in the Pacific. But not in the ETO.

Though I would love such a video, the problem is that it was all so ad hoc that there aren't really any specifics available to us. We know the broad organisational plan. But it was very much a heat of the moment thing. Ironically a classic case of german tactical and organisational flexibility. Which made them so successful early in the ear

Does that mean you've cracked the algorithm? If so that would be the most successful video ever

Actually an interesting question I'd like to hear him answer. My first thought though is that torpedo bulges were a technology that wouldn't come about for a good few years after she sank

Been covered a few times in several dry docks. Short answer The greatest engineers of the time didn't make such ammunition because they knew it was pointless when used against a target the size of a ship. So was never developed. But see drachs prev dry docks for more info :)
