  1. I had read about the Haley's comet story, but I like this solid summary of Twain's life. I do take him to task over his disdain for Jane Austen, but in his heyday her writing may have seemed 'old fashioned'. However, the number of modern sequel books and films based on her stories are vindication enough. Sorry for the literary digression. I love the house, with it's wood and strong design elements that are eye-catching but not overly ornate. I always like a good library, though that man-cave billiard room is pretty fantastic. So happy to see this story had a happy ending, at least for the house. Thanks, Ken. :)
