Alien Alien : Are you not curious as to what made them rebel in the first place? I thought the reason glossed over very quickly, as simply disrespect from their German Officers and NCO's. I would have liked to have known in more detail, the reasons behind it.

Alien Alien : Are you German? Do you recall the Munich revolt when Adolf Hitler and others tried to overthrow their Government? By your own logic, would that not make Adolf Hitler and his companions traitors? I presume Hitler, as a former soldier had taken an oath of allegiance to the German state and his time spent in Lansdorf prison was the penalty for his treason.

Alien Alien : You persist in making rather strange statements. Europeans are not brother and sister. We are a collection of diverse nation states with their own vested interests. Where those interests coincide, we co - operate, where those interests diverge we go our own separate ways.

@mebsrea : What would you describe as a meaningful connection? You changed from refuting the relationship to acknowledging it. A cousin of his Mother's would make him a second - cousin, I believe, of the Mufti, not a nephew. Considering Arafat's views and behaviour, the relationship doesn't seem as remote as you are projecting. I don't think the PLO needed anyone to demonise them, they did a good enough job of that themselves.

@mebsrea : You are mistaken, I was not the original poster. It was someone called ratscoot , who stated that the Grand Mufti was Arafat's Uncle. Perhaps now you will acknowledge that it is you that has made the mistake and apologise. Don't worry, I'm not holding my breath.

@mebsrea : on which comment are you referring to, that I have admitted I am wrong? The PLO need no help from me in discrediting themselves, likewise the Grand Mufti. Anyone who seeks information on either of them can easily do so, then they can make up their own minds.

Interesting, especially to see the Grand Mufti popping up. Like many conflicts, it seems to have left a legacy of ethnic bitterness that has festered down through the years to the present day. Thank you for uploading the video.
