  1. I wished he had just concentrated on his sport.He can believe in what he likes but chose to attack a minority which has been seen as low hanging fruit for too long by the dregs. These are the times of anti discrimination enshrined in law & when a 1.93m elite tall poppy targets a minority they can expect some flak.He is not that simple that he does not know.  A christian will accept people for what they are without stating they need to be saved or other depreciating commentary. I would have let him play rather than be an outcast forever, I have an uneasy feeling this is round 2.

  3.  @ilguitaro  Yes rants can backfire & flak can be a killer to a career.He included in his HELL AWAITS YOU attack atheists in addition to adulterers also fornicators & idolaters, nothing illegal about any & fall into the mind your own business category & if broached in a football club could become an issue.Good will is two ways Like any workplace it is a team atmosphere, sports club even more so.Most of us leave it alone, not hurting me.Drunks or drugs you can get help, liars are complex people, I know only too well.Not even Israel may reach them. Gays have a powerful lobby group?
