👎Just the contempt and malice audible in the word respect was enough to make my skin crawl. But she also said something which is (strangely, for her) true: "When you demonize and dehumanize, it is easy for people to commit acts of violence against those individuals." Then she quickly went out of her way to demonize and dehumanize white men, and my skin was crawling again.
