Interstate peace might be a new constant in post-war Europe, but I wouldn't universalize that. In Africa and Asia there were many wars during all this period. And in the americas we haven't had real wars since well before the 1940s. So that is a rather European vision

The unipolar moment was the moment of US hegemony in which they solved issues as they willed, not according to pré-established rules. The situation in Iraq makes it more obvious than any other, although examples abound.

I'd not say the main issue why the global south is skeptic of Ukraine is because "a US ally doesn't deserve help", but rather it's because they see (correctly) that the US is using Ukraine to undermine Russia, and is being hypocritical because it says that small countries can do whatever they want with their foreign policy but will do everything including regime change if a US ally decides to do something even close to what Ukraine have been doing to Russia. So there's an underlying realist reason to be skeptic of Ukraine, besides the bad communications

Trying to pass Venezuela as comparable to those other conflicts, in my mind, is a bit absurd. They have not the means nor apparently the will to invade Guyana, which is jungle. Even if they did, it wouldn't cause a major war as there'd be nobody to fight - most likely just a series of crisis leading to freezing the conflict or regime change in Venezuela.

 @braedonallen4291 Sometimes they enforced rules, other times they ignored it, such as with Israel, and other times they intervened when countries were following the rules such as in Libya.

The first motive is due to the US thinking it could reshape the world at will after the end of the cold war.

I think you are fear mongering and that type of thinking locks countries into a circle of escalation and conflict, but well. It's not my region of the world. However, to Americans and western Europeans financing and supporting all of that, it should open their eyes I think

@STJukes The US created the conditions for this to start and pushed so hard until it did, yes. Regardless of what you think, this is how the global south sees, and also having other experiences with the US we can identify both (1) the failures of US foreign policy, (2) their context, which you seem to be ignoring, and (3) their hypocrisy in almost all lines of argument when it comes to Ukraine. This is why thee global south is skeptic of Ukraine, because we know and see the US for what it is, not because of some irrational anti-americanism. Just some words that might remind you: South America, Panama, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Libya, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yugoslavia.
