  1. Action is important - but values - values clarified by an acute understanding of history, economics, society, science are also important. I am trying to value justice, compassion, beauty, imagination, memory itself. I find myself in a bizarre condition with a terrible choice in front of me- a burnt out doctor who has taken time off and fearful of re-traumatising myself if I go back into fray and fearful of the guilt I will feel in the future if I don't go back into the fray. This is where I stand today; in absurd paralysis. I have treated veterans with PTSD and they speak about exactly the same conundrum. I will donate to your patreon.
